making crochet cool. not lame.

one of my favorite things is to find a project that takes no time. if you google "free crochet flower patterns" you'll get a million different ideas. i found a simple flower, that after i had completed a few, decided that they would make awesome hair clips. for babies, for me, whoever!



at walmart, if you venture over the the craft section, you can find hair clips for this very specific purpose. each one was hot glued to a flower, with a strip of felt to hold it in place. i then had to spend extra time getting any extra glue off of the flower itself because that crap gets everywhere!



and here they are after being assembled. usually, i'm very okay with the simple look, but these just weren't doin' it for me. which is weird, because now that i look at them, they're pretty darling on their own. however, on this night, this just wasn't good enough.



so i crocheted teeny centers for each one. okay, they're still pretty darling.
