"how funky is your chicken?"

shannon is right, the buffy really helped us get in touch with our craftiness. on a side note, this movie rules. case in point.

its awesomeness astounds me 18 years later. so you can see how we were able to stay in the crafty mood for so long. vampires just do it for us. especially if that vampire is played by pee wee herman.

on this cool-chet night, my goal was to finish a project that i've been working on for, oh let us see, over a year. i am horrible at finishing stuff. i have a short attention span, and i get discouraged when things don't turn out the way i want the. however, there will be none of that anymore!!!

the project was a pillow that i began making in bear lake last year. last year at the lake was cold and rainy and there really wasn't anything else to do. looking back, i'm lame that i didn't finish it on that trip. the plan was to make an oblong pillow to accent a new duvet cover. i no longer have this duvet cover. however, now that it's done, this little guy looks adorable on my chair in my living room.

it isn't that orange in real life. it's a little more of a "burnt orange." so, i'll probably move it around a bit, see where it fits in. it's stuffed with polyester fiberfil, and plastic sacks from walmart. so it makes a little noise when you move it. i think that adds a little something extra, don't you think?

i now need something to carry around all my cool-chet stuff. so next on the list is a hook holder and some sort of bag. i can't seem to find a pattern of a bag that i'm in love with so i'm going to make it up. wish me luck!
