ta-da!

i say ta-da a lot. way more than any normal person should.

since the inception of this blog, like a whole 2 months ago, part of what we wanted to do was to make cozies for everything. i had a dream of covering every surface in my office with some sort of crocheted cover. after i got over the excitement of it all, i realized how much work that would be.

i'm still going to do it.....just not right now.

however, that doesn't mean i can't start making covers for things that need a little sprucing up. after browsing ravelry.com, i came across this pattern for a lampshade cover. after reading it and realizing how incredibly easy it was, i got to work.

it started like this:

booooo right? it blends into my curtains.

and now it's like this! i'm so sorry for my crappy camera, it just does not do the cuteness justice.

it went from pretty sad to pretty rad! yeah, i said it.

i chose the green because eventually, it will be in greys with green accents. here's to my first one! and the best thing is that it's not permanent. so i can change it at any time.

Update from Shannon:
Link it up! Link it up! Link it up! (name what song I just butchered)
In the interest of getting people interested in our awesomeness, I'm working on linking up to some crafty parties. For your linking pleasure, we're linking up to the latest and greatest...the new craft blog from Remodelaholic called Polly Want a Crafter. Check out the party and follow them. Cuz all the cool people do.
